Rackbeat

Letter Body

Dear Rackbeat, I am applying for the (Senior) Software Engineer role because the shape of the work fits me well: Laravel/PHP, MySQL, real product behavior, production debugging, and a team that would rather ship useful software than hold another meeting about maybe shipping useful software. Most of my recent work has been in Laravel product systems where customer workflows, integrations, and internal operations all depend on the backend staying predictable under real usage. At Worksome, I owned product-critical backend work, built webhook and queue-driven workflows, improved test coverage and CI discipline, and helped keep delivery moving without turning the process into a religion. I am backend-first, but not precious about the border. I have worked across backend and frontend boundaries when that was the fastest way to get the right thing shipped, including Vue.js and TypeScript work. That makes the backend/fullstack framing here feel honest rather than decorative. Rackbeat's engineering description also sounds refreshingly sane. Lean process, weekly increments, feature flags, and a bias toward action is much closer to how good teams actually move than the usual theatre. I care a lot about clear code, calm debugging, and delivery habits that make it easier to keep shipping once a product is live and growing. I am based in Copenhagen, so the office part is not a problem. If you want someone who can take ownership of Laravel product work, debug real issues without flapping around, and help keep the team moving, I would be glad to talk. Kind regards, Odinn Adalsteinsson
