Dear Lunar, I am applying for the Senior AI Engineer role because the problem is the right kind of hard: customer-facing AI that has to resolve real financial tasks, not just answer politely and hope nobody looks too closely. The part of AI work I am strongest at is the backend and reliability layer around the model. Agent workflows, context handling, retrieval, tool use, side effects, tests, and feedback loops. The useful AI is not the model by itself. It is the system around it: how it decides what to do, what it is allowed to touch, how it recovers when the world is messy, and how humans can still trust the result. At Worksome, I owned backend work on customer and operations-facing systems where integrations, contracts, billing, exports, staffing workflows, and external systems had to behave predictably. I designed webhook delivery with retries, deduplication, and idempotent processing, built async export flows for operational data, and helped improve CI and test habits so the team could ship without making production exciting. More recently, I have gone deep on agentic engineering workflows with Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, reusable skills, acceptance checks, review passes, and coverage-aware tooling. I use AI heavily, but not as prompt theatre. I care about whether the system can be inspected, tested, corrected, and trusted after the clever bit has worn off. I have also worked close enough to product and operations to know that "AI that scales" starts with the real pain, not the slide. Lunar's framing around Product and CX is what makes this role interesting to me. If the AI is going to act on behalf of customers, trigger actions, surface the right answer, and close the loop, it needs engineering judgment as much as model fluency. My strongest production stack is Laravel/PHP rather than one single AI stack, but I learn tools quickly and I have spent my career building systems where data correctness, integrations, side effects, and trust matter.
